Videos for 15

I had watched the Greenberg on Pollock: An interview by T. J. Clark and An Introduction to the Italian Renaissance (Giorgio Vasari).
The key concepts that i learned throughout these videos is how each artist contributes something new to art. Artists used realistic style to express landscapes or how contrasting light to dark to create depth, or how math was also brought to art.
Also in Greenbergs video the concept of what is real art was brought up and mural paintings departed from boxed characteristic of modern paintings.

I hope that these films will help me to identify the key concepts in my art criticism work.  I hope to use many of these ideas while critiquing work.  I believe the videos will help to also see what this artist has brought to his or her art work and if it contains the concepts that are need to make a great piece of art work

I like both films, the Greenberg video was very interesting because he was very down to earth and honest when answering Clark's questions.  And in An Introduction to the Italian Renaissance video i thought was overacted but the explanation of art was very education in the explaining of how each artist expressed or set a new bar or technique for newer artist to learn, practice or outdo.
